Long Lake Lap Fundraiser Race –
Canoe, Kayak & SUP
Who: Racers of any level: recreational paddlers to elite racers. There are different races to match many skill levels. Is it your first race? We have a race for you! Is it your 101st race? We have a race for you too! Grab your friends, family, paddles & boats and meet us at the beach!
What: Long Lake Lap Fundraiser Race for Canoe, Kayak & SUP
When: July 15, 2017
Registration: 8:00 am
Race Begins: 9:00 am
Cost: $20/Adult – $10/Youth (18 and under)
Description: The LLL is a fundraiser benefitting the youth athletes of Rice Creek Boat Club. Hosted by the Rice Creek Boat Club and sanctioned by the United States Canoe Association.
Course: 1, 2, 4, 8 & 12 miles
The course, approximately 4 miles per lap, starts and finishes at the public beach on the east side of the lake and follows the shoreline of Long Lake. You must pass between the shore and any/all “Slow – No Wake” posts, plus any other buoys marked on the map. Approximate location of these markers will be on the map provided on race day.
Prizes: Awards to class winners and friendly competition for all.
Lunch on the Beach: 11:30 pm (Complimentary, though any donation is appreciated.)
FREE Canoe & Kayak Demonstrations and Trials: Following the race. Open to everyone! Test-paddle a racing boat!

screenings & sports medicine services!

medicine provider to the Rice Creek Boat Club.
100% of the proceeds from this race go to the Rice Creek Boat Club. The club is a United States Canoe Association Club Affiliate. The club’s mission is to provide a fitness program for high school age youth interested in flat-water canoe and kayak racing. Funds raised will help with maintenance and upkeep of equipment, and help subsidize entry fees/travel for the kids to other races, including Nationals.
